Cafe 21

Brunch – San Diego edition

On occasion we will also take you on our brunch adventures outside of Los Angeles.  This last weekend we took a trip to San Diego to see queen Bey perform and of course had to have brunch while we were there!

Cafe 21 is one of our favorite brunch spots located in the Gaslamp Quarter because the food is phenomenal!  Everything we have tried has been delicious!  The food presentation is spot on too.  Cafe 21 does not have a bottomless drink option, but you still have some great selections.  You can try the Mimosa Flight that has 6 different mimosa samplers for $21.  If you prefer just a bottle of champagne with your choice of puree flavor then that is an option too.  Cafe 21 also offers either a goblet ($9), pitcher ($21), or flight ($21) of sangria.  The drink menu includes an excellent variety of craft cocktails as well.  We mostly want to highlight on Cafe 21’s Bloody Marys.  These are crazy good!  Our favorite is the California Greenin, it is a nice change from your average bloody mary and the grilled cheese on top makes it just that much better!

Cafe 21 makes it difficult to branch out to other brunch spots in downtown San Diego because it is just so damn good that we have to revisit every time.
